As a Senior PHP Developer your primary role will be building web applications working in a team environment with other developers at varying levels of skill.
Duties
- Develop new packages and libraries
- Build new applications and microservices
- Work together with front-end developers to put the polish on our applications
- Work closely with other development teams to ensure seamless integration and production rollout
- Reduce technical debt by refactoring and eliminating dead code
- Commit to personal growth
Requirements and Qualifications
- 5 years experience in full-stack web development as a developer or related role
- Expert understanding of modern PHP framework(s), e.g. Laravel or Symfony
- Practical understanding of SOLID principles
- Ability to demonstrate appropriate usage of software design patterns
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on team success
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Good time-management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter who can work with a team to accomplish business objectives
Bonus skills
- CI/CD tools, e.g. GitLab
- Kubernetes / Docker
- Cloud infrastructure, e.g. Google Cloud, AWS
Experience
- Completed degree in related discipline and/or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience developing web-based applications
